Melvin Park participates in two affordable housing programs, PILOT and MEEHA. Your household income must be at or below the limit for your household size under the program that applies to your home. Our leasing team can tell you which program applies to each available home.

WHAT COUNTS AS INCOME
We add up the total gross (before-tax) income of every household member age 18 and older, from all sources, based on what your household expects to receive over the next 12 months. This includes:

WHAT TO HAVE READY
Not every document applies to every household. Our team will let you know if anything else is needed.
Identification
- Adults (18+): valid, unexpired government-issued photo ID
- Minors (17 and under): birth certificate. School records, doctor records, or translated legal documents may also be accepted.
- Voucher holders: proof of Housing Choice Voucher status
Income
- Employed: four (4) most recent consecutive pay stubs dated within the last 30 days
- Other income: most recent statements for any benefits, support payments, or other income
Self-employed? View requirements
- Self-employment affidavit, plus your most recent federal tax return (all pages) or IRS transcript
- If taxes have not been filed: weekly and/or monthly household statements, ledgers, and the two most recent consecutive bank statements or deposit records (all pages)
- Not accepted: notarized self proof of income, or self-prepared tax returns without an IRS transcript
